Job Description :
Seeking a dynamic Financial Controller with strong focus on industry and renewable energy projects to serve as a right hand to the CFO, be a partner of the operating team, and play a central role in the definition of short- and long-term financial objectives, as well as in the control of their achievements. Fluency in French and English required, thrive in a fast-paced startup environment, with potential for rapid career progression.
As Financial Controller, you will be in charge of :
- Strategic Support: partner with the CFO to prepare internal and external financial communications / provide ad-hoc data analysis to support management decision-making on projects, operations and financing activities
- Statutory accounts: coordinate preparations and audits of consolidated and non-consolidated statutory accounts
- Budget and reporting: elaborate the company annual financial budget, build associated models, KPIs and dashboards / elaborate monthly and quarterly reports and forecasts, identify corrective actions when needed
- Strategic planning: maintain company long-term financial and valuation models
- Industrial control: implement and manage industrial costs control activities / provide cost analysis to operation team to manage costs and improve process efficiency
- Energy project control: implement and manage energy project budget and control activities
- Financing: collaborate with CEO and CFO on financing strategy and execution
Ideal Background :
- Business or engineering degree with specialization in finance
- Experience in energy sector or industrial background is a strong plus
- Rigorous, detailed-oriented with strong analytical skills
- Able to communicate and contextualize numbers to support and influence decision-making
- Able to balance senior-level decision-making and hands-on activities
- Multitask and used to work with tight deadlines
- Tech savvy, proficient in online productivity and collaboration tools
- Fluent in English and French
- Adaptability: ability to adapt to changing circumstances and priorities and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment with evolving challenges.
